Analytics
Nothing here was rekeyed to make a report.
The charts below are drawn from the same records the rest of this site walks through — the goods receipts, the quotations, the freight invoices. No export, no spreadsheet, no month-end exercise: the work of buying is the reporting on buying, if the work is recorded once.
Real charts, invented company
Every figure below is computed from the example dataset the whole site is built on — Northgate Control Systems, a fictional switchgear manufacturer. Open “the numbers behind this chart” under any of them and check the arithmetic; that is what it is there for.
Procurement
What you bought, and what it came to.

Cost of material, by month
Every goods receipt this company has recorded, valued and grouped by the month it arrived. Reversals are netted off, so a receipt booked and then cancelled counts for nothing.

The cheapest quotation, and the cheapest purchase
The four busbar lines of NG/RFQ/2026/001, in riyals at the day’s rates, then landed — freight, duty and the charges from port to plant. Aolin Electric Manufacturing quotes 175,742 SAR under the next supplier and lands 199,090 SAR over the cheapest. The lines cross; the order is not the same list.

Logistics
What it cost to move.
Every delivery trip logged, with its distance, its vehicle and the freight charge on the transporter’s invoice.

Delivery cost by vehicle type
Every trip a transporter billed for — 30 of them, over 8,123 km, at the freight and other charges on the invoice. The last column is the plain average: this vehicle’s cost divided by its distance. The app fits a proper lane benchmark from the same trips — full loads only, freight charge only — which is a more careful number than this one.
The numbers behind this chart
| Vehicle type | Trips | Distance (km) | Cost (SAR) | Cost ÷ distance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flatbed 12m | 8 | 2,864 | 17,397 | 6.07 |
| Van 3.5t | 10 | 2,483 | 13,032 | 5.25 |
| Box truck 7.5t | 8 | 1,784 | 10,533 | 5.90 |
| Curtainside 13.6m | 4 | 992 | 5,911 | 5.96 |
Logistics dispatches, freight charge excluding VAT.
A rate card goes out of date the week it is printed. Rates fitted from your own trips do not — and they are what to have in front of you when the forwarder quotes the next one. The app fits them per vehicle type and per distance band, excluding partial loads and multi-drop runs, because a stop-off price is not a lane price.

What these charts are not.
Not a forecast
Everything above is what happened. The app projects cover and arrival dates from your own lead times, and says so where it does — but nothing here predicts demand.
Not a supplier scorecard, yet
Delivery dates against commitments are measured, and so is lead time and how much it varies. Defects and shortfalls are not, so this is not OTIF and is not called it.
Not a separate product
There is no reporting module to license and no data warehouse to fill. These read the records the weekly work already produced.
